Michael Jackson – The one who made HIStory

By admin | June 26, 2009

August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009

Sadly Missed.

8 am in the morning of June 26th, 2009, I switched on my mobile phone.

I received an sms timed 6.07am saying that Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, had been admitted to the UCLA Medical Centre due to cardiac arrest. Status presently unknown.

What a morning to start with.

I went online and checked the news and the dread had happened.

The Gloved One, The Moonwalker,  The King of Pop had passed away.

I felt empty.

It was like someone close to you had just moved on.

I went out of my house and went to a cafe to have breakfast. I’m not hungry actually, but I needed to get some fresh air, just to come to terms with this unexpected news.

Bad move.

The cafe is tuned to our local station and Michael’s songs kept on playing on and on…

Billie Jean…

Beat It…

Smooth Criminal…

The legendary Moonwalk, the Side Slide, the MJ Spin…all comes to mind.

It all started with this little boy who wowed us with the song “Ben”. in 1972.

“Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I’ll never be alone
And you, my friend, will see
You’ve got a friend in me
(you’ve got a friend in me) “

I consider Michael very talented, professional & a perfectionist who only wants to give it all His Best to his fans.

I grew up with his songs and appreciate the effort he had put in to bring entertainment to the next level.

Words could not express my feelings.
